Lazy Print

Privacy

Lazy Print has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no check for updates. It does not send anything to its developer or to any server run for it. The only network traffic it makes is to printers and, for the phone link, between your own computer and your own iPhone or iPad.

What the app connects to

What a printer receives

A print job contains your document as sheets, the job's name, and the name of the account sending it (your Windows or Mac user name, or "iPhone" on the iPhone and iPad). What the printer does with a job afterwards is up to the printer and its maker. Lazy Print has no control over it.

What is kept on your devices

The optional sync folder

On the iPhone and iPad you can choose a folder in iCloud Drive or OneDrive that your computer also syncs. When the computer cannot be reached, the phone puts files there, encrypted with a key only the phone and the computer know. The service you chose syncs that folder under its own terms. Lazy Print does not use that service for anything else.

Permissions on the iPhone and iPad

Third-party code

On Windows the app includes ZXing.Net, which draws the pairing QR code on your computer and makes no connections. Everything else uses what the operating system provides.
